In our current society the media reflect hugely on issues within reality. These issues can be shown quite regularly through films. This reflects on our post-modern type society. This is basically a consumerist society, where the whole concept is we want it all, and many rom-coms seem to reflect this idea which we have tried to also do with the main character wanting the 'perfect' boyfriend. She wants what she can't have, and the trailer also gives the vague inclination of a feminist theory as she is independent and won't settle for anything less that perfect. But as the thing she wants is the 'perfect' boyfriend this kind of detracts from the idea of being an independent woman as she wants the man by her side. But, the concept is still there for being strong and never settling for less than what you want.
The Hypodermic Syringe theory is also relevant to our trailer as we try to inject the idea to our audience that not everybody has the same perception of 'perfect'. We wanted to create a positive message to our audience and make our film empowering to the idea that everybody is equal and has different perceptions of life and no one is right or wrong.
